Wegmans Recalls Chicken Nuggets Over Possible Bone Pieces—Here’s What Customers Should Do



Attention Wegmans shoppers: The east coast grocery giant has recalled a popular frozen chicken product, pulling the item from shelves.

Wegmans announced a recall of its Food You Feel Good About (FYFGA) Chicken Breast Nuggets on Friday, Jan. 24. The recall affects chicken nuggets in 46 oz. bags.

According to the grocery chain, the recall was initiated due to possible bone pieces in the chicken nuggets. The recall announcement did not cite any injuries or customer complaints connected to the chicken nuggets.

The new Wegmans recall comes following another recent chicken product recall for items sold at Aldi.

On Jan. 11, Bestway Sandwiches, Inc., recalled nearly 25,000 pounds of frozen chicken and cheese taquito products that may have been contaminated with metal pieces, according to the the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

Regarding the most recent Wegmans recall, the grocery store said consumers should not eat the affected chicken nuggets, and may return the product to their nearest Wegmans store for a full refund.

The grocer also said customers can contact Wegmans Food Markets at 1-855-934-3663 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
